Health related books:

1.              The Monster at the Door: Mike Davis.

A wake up call to the threat of avian flu.  The author, a well-known writer focusing on hairy subjects such as the ecological turmoil threatening Los Angeles, he traces the factors that could lead to an outbreak of a devastating flu epidemic.  One bad point is that he mentions the word homeopathy totally out of context and without any understanding of what it really means.

2.              The Hidden Messages in Water: Masaru Emoto.

Perhaps the clearest explanation of how homeopathy works, without even talking much about homeopathy.  His research could do more for homeopathy than all of our clinical successes in the last 100 years.

3.              The Measure of Our Days: Jerome Groopman MD

The well-known doctor and author, often found in the New York Times and New Yorker, explores the dynamics and real life challenges of sickness and what healing means.

4.              Green Psychology: Ralph Metzner, Ph.D.

An exploration of how and why Man separated himself from the earth and what we can do heal our relationship with nature.  The author, well-known for his work in exploring states of consciousness for many years helped found the Harvard Psilcybin Project in 1960 and worked with Timothy Leary and Ram Dass.

5.              The Antibiotic Paradox: Stuart B levy MD

This book discusses the implications and consequences of widespread antibiotic use and abuse and what needs to be done.  This is nothing new to homeopaths but the research and detail is very informative.
