Outro: Looking Ahead -Winter Solstice 2026

Thank you for joining us for this Summer Solstice edition of The California Homeopath. We hope the articles in these pages have offered new perspectives, challenged assumptions, and contributed in some small way to your understanding and practice of homeopathy.

While each issue is organized around a central theme, our commitment remains to publishing a broad range of content that supports the growth and professionalism of our field. This edition has brought together clinical case studies, provings, scientific inquiry, historical scholarship, philosophical exploration, and reflections on the changing landscape of healthcare. It is this diversity of voices and perspectives that helps keep our profession vibrant, thoughtful, and alive.

Looking ahead, our Winter Solstice edition, Volume 20, Issue 3, will complete a three-part arc that has unfolded throughout this year.

Issue 1 explored the rapid rise of artificial intelligence and the technological transformation of medicine.

Issue 2 turned toward first principles, examining the vital force and the deeper questions of life, health, and healing.

Issue 3 will bring both into contact with one of the defining realities of our time:

At the Threshold of Medicine: Chronic Disease and the Limits of the Known Model

Modern medicine has achieved extraordinary successes, yet the growing burden of chronic disease continues to reveal the limitations of a model that excels at managing pathology but often struggles to restore health. As rates of chronic illness continue to rise, it becomes increasingly difficult to ignore the possibility that the conventional understanding of health remains incomplete.

For homeopaths, this is not a new conversation. Questions surrounding the nature of health, the self-regulating capacity of the organism, and the role of the vital force have been central to our tradition for more than two centuries. The Winter issue will explore what homeopathy can contribute to this broader discussion and why perspectives that have long existed at the margins belong at the table as healthcare seeks more complete approaches to health, healing, and human flourishing.

We invite contributors to examine these questions through clinical experience, research, philosophy, history, and integrative practice. We also continue to welcome submissions across the full spectrum of homeopathic scholarship, including case studies, provings, materia medica, education, and original research.

One of our hopes for The California Homeopath is that it becomes more than a journal. We hope it becomes a place for conversation. Knowledge grows through exchange. Understanding deepens through dialogue. We encourage you to participate in the discussions surrounding the articles through our new commenting feature and to consider contributing your own work to future issues.

Like public radio, The California Homeopath is supported by the community it serves. We believe that thoughtful homeopathic scholarship should remain accessible to everyone who seeks it. For that reason, our content remains freely available and without a paywall. If you value this publication and would like to support its continued growth, we invite you to subscribe, renew your subscription, or share the journal with a colleague. Every subscription helps support future issues and strengthens an independent forum dedicated to homeopathic education, scholarship, and professional dialogue.

The California Homeopath has existed in various forms for more than a century. For a brief moment, we are its caretakers. We are entrusted with preserving what is valuable while helping it remain relevant and accessible for future generations of practitioners.

Thank you for reading, for sharing the journal with colleagues, and for supporting this work. Whether you contribute as a reader, author, commenter, subscriber, or supporter, you are helping to sustain a living tradition and a community of inquiry that extends far beyond the pages of this journal.

We look forward to welcoming you again on the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2026.
