Jackie Fox: Executive Director of the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC)

It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to Jackie Fox who died recently at home, surrounded by her family. Jackie had been the backbone of the CHC for over ten years and had quietly, but assiduously given direction to the organization as it continued to grow and evolve. She brought a calm and sympathetic energy to her work and in the sometimes fraught times dealing with the complex issues of certification, she was able to reassure candidates as they went through all the steps towards certification.

Having been a founding member of the CHC and on the board for over 17 years, I know the work Jackie had to do and the challenges dealing with so many details, including navigating the Board of Directors and all the policy changes that came about. It was a formidable challenge and as the organization developed, it brought new challenges all the time. Jackie gave the organization a solidity and direction that no one could offer so consistently. All of us on the board had so many things to do and so the important details and follow through was up to Jackie, which she took on with determination and real commitment.

When someone passes who you have worked with for years, it is always a time of reflection; of times shared, things taken for granted, many memories and a poignancy of the preciousness of sharing commitments and values with other people.

Jackie will be remembered with much love and gratitude for who she was and the qualities she brought to her work on the CHC and for homeopathy. Thank you for everything Jackie. You will never be forgotten.
